I would LOVE to see them live again. The last time was in Atlanta in 2004 in a venue that was once an old church.I actually saw them play twice in one day.I got the chance to sit in on a small acoustic set for a radio show. It was pretty magical.
Uuuuuugh, that sounds AMAZING. I haven’t seen them myself since about 2006. I keep ending up missing their shows in San Francisco, either because I’m not here or they sell out too quickly. T.T
For tiredwednesdays11. <3
So it turns out that this kid…

…is Heydon Prowse. This guy.

He hasn’t acted since “The Secret Garden”; in fact, he’s a political activist, who is an editor of his own online magazine called “Don’t Panic”. I just visited the site, and it actually looks really cool… http://dontpaniconline.com/ According to imbd, he was famous for exposing MP’s during the expenses scandal and also targeting Tony Blair blaming him for the hundreds and thousands of people killed in the “war of terror”. Damn, Colin Craven!
mexicanloneliness said: AFI <3 love them so much!
Me too, me toooo. I was obsessed with them for years; my Beatles before I found the Beatles. <3 (On a related note, I still hope to see them around San Francisco sometimes because they live in Berkley. Hasn’t happened yet! :c)
For my astronomy homework, one of my questions was to list some of the conditions needed for the birth of a star.
I wrote, “A little wine and Barry White.”

I decided to look up the actor who played Dickon in “The Secret Garden”… You know, this boy:

TURNS OUT this boy is Andrew Knott, and he played Lockwood in “The History Boys”!!!

Aaaaaahhhhh, one of my all-time favorite movies/plays. God, I love you, Andrew Knott. :3

Liked the line “I define genre” :9 I’m going to do this, looks like fun. May I ? *blinkblink*
Genre is only a label— and I despise labels. ;) Go ahead! I stole it myself from somebody else… I inadvertently copied and pasted instead of reblogged, so I hope you forgive me, foryoubabyblue. <3
1) Planet Queen- T. Rex
2) So Very Pretty- The Indelicates
3) King’s Crossing- Elliott Smith
4) Hanging on the Telephone- Blondie
5) How Do You Do It- The Beatles
6) Plug In Baby- Muse
7) God, Make Up Your Mind- Cold War Kids
8) You Could Have Both- The Long Blondes
9) Demonomania- AFI
10) In Vain Or True- Fistful of Mercy
Name of Band/Singer that influences your choice of music genre
I wouldn’t say that anyone influences my choice in genre. I defy genre! :p
Instrument/s that you know how to play. Tell a story how you developed it.
I sing and can kind of play the piano. I used to be decent at it, but then I just stopped playing. I’m still singing though, and I’m actually minoring in music. It’s really developed my love for classical music as well. :)
Title of an Original Sound Track that moved you and why
Definitely “The Assassination of Jesse James” by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. It’s just so beautifully haunting. I was just listening to it again the other night and realized that if you could hear a star, that’s what it would sound like.
Name of a Band and a Singer that you like the least
Katy Perry. Though I detest most pop artists (except Gaga. I like Gaga, she’s fun).
Name of your favorite Band/Artist
Heeheehee. You know who it is.
Recommend an album of that band/singer
Duh, everything. But my personal favorites are Abbey Road and the White Album. I maintain that Abbey Road is the most perfect album ever created (“the Hamlet of albums”). And if pressed to choose one album out of every single record in history to represent all of mankind, it would be the White Album. It is life itself, in every single facet. It is humanity, all of it. It’s just incredible.
Make an open letter for your “crush” in the music industry
Dear Paul McCartney,Stop playing Los Angeles so often and play San Francisco more. Also, be my best friend with benefits. ;)Love, Me
A song that would best describe your day
“If You Want To Sing, Sing”— Cat Stevens
A song that would best describe your life as of the moment
Uhm… “Get Me Away From Here, I’m Dying”— Belle and Sebastian
A song that you listen to whenever you are happy or elated
“Here Comes the Sun”
A song that you listen to whenever you’re sad
“In My Life”
A song that would remind you of your past lover
Uhm, “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”, actually. I would think of my ex-girlfriend as Lucy because she was this beautiful idea who was always just out of reach of being attainable… But as soon as the speaker is about to give up and leave, she’s there for him. So, yeah… I considered Ann-Elise to be my Lucy.
A song that you would offer for your present or future lover
I think either “Something” or “If I Fell”. “Something” is self-explanatory, but “If I Fell”… For me, it completely symbolizes John and Paul and their love, so if I give this song to my lover, it’s me offering my love of the Beatles, of John and Paul, this special part of my life to someone else. I like symbolism.
A song that inspires you a lot
“Hey Jude”
Your favorite artists of the 90’s
Hahaha, like N’Sync and Britney Spears and Disney. I was a kid. XD
Your favorite artists of the 2000’s
AFI, My Chemical Romance, The Dresden Dolls, Michelle Branch…
The song you really hate the most and why
“I Kissed a Girl”. That song infuriates me.
Make your own dream band.
My dream band is the Beatles. I’m good, dude.
Guilty Pleasure Music
I love Gaga, hahaha. I also love listening to just ridiculous artists like Tiny Tim and Gary Glitter and Weird Al. x3
Top 3 Bands that you recommend
The Indelicates
Mother Mother
The Botticellis
Top 3 Singers?
Sam Cooke
Carla Bruni
Jay Brannan
Outlaw Heart - Tiger Army
I look to the moon and stars;
somewhere underneath them she’s there.
Never even spoke to her the words of love I have in my heart.
If she heard them now would she still care?
I know I posted this song already but it’s my favorite. Nick’s voice is like AHHH (:
Awww, I was just listening to this song earlier. <3
ganja- replied to your post: Sorry if you’ve been asked this before…
I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR STATEMENT
<3 <3 <3
Heeheehee, and I love it. The inside of my head is probably creepier than your question though, love. <3
Sometimes I just don’t know what to say.
But that doesnt mean i don’t love you..

Darling I feel your pain! I’ve gotten those quite often in my life. They’re the fucking worst.
I’ve never had one before. Ugh. I hate medical issues so much. I’m a bit of a hypochondriac anyway, so whenever anything’s wrong, I’m convinced that something terrible is happening inside of me.
I actually haven’t been asked (at least not on Tumblr)! Least favorite song, BY FAR, is “The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill”. And not just because Yoko sings on it (but oh my God, that woman should never sing ever). It is an extremely irritating song with an uninteresting melody and I’m not a big fan of the lyrics either. As for least favorite album, it’d be Beatles For Sale. There are several songs I adore on there, but overall, the album lacks the true quality and passion of their other works, and I feel that for the most part, it’s a filler album. :)
21. My birthday was a couple of weeks ago. :)
